Our Story
Face Plant Clothing & Gear was founded in 2009 out of our desperation to find cool clothes my boys WANTED to wear that expressed their love for extreme sports, and in a positive and age appropriate way. After twelve years of inspiring extreme athletes, the brand has expanded to include Adventurers of ALL disciplines. Our founder hand sketches all the action graphics and then adapts them into designs to encourage kids to Participate, Try new Activities, and Enjoy themselves - regardless of the ups and downs that may come along. Face Plant celebrates every person who is taking those BOLD steps into any adventure, big or small.
Why Face Plant?
Our children are relentless, no matter the size of the mountain, the height of the wave or the size of the ramp, they are ALL In all the time. This usually means they experience a ton of falls, crashes, small failures, and "face plants" in the process of getting back up to conquer the skill. After most face plants my kids would look over and let me know all is ok with a big thumbs up and a, "I'm Good!" which quickly became a tag line for our brand - "I'm Good." Now that our children are young adults, their variety of adventures has expanded not only into other extreme sports, but also tremendous new hobbies and activities that also deserve to be celebrated. They still have their fair share of Face Plants now and again, but that's the beauty of trying something new, falling and getting back up and ultimately enjoying a new experience.
